The wonderful staff at Home Depot visited
Brook Glenn Elementary School, on Monday, October 10th to donate their
time and Kid Workshop Kits for a "Build a Birdhouse" activity with the
students. The home depot staff taught our first graders their
do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to
instill a sense of accomplishment.
In addition to the newly constructed bird houses, each child received a
kid sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons.
The students enjoyed having a different approach to learning during
their regular classroom sessions and the chance to work with other
adults from the community. Thank you to all the volunteers and to Home
Depot for making this a day we will not soon forget!
