On 21 May 2008, Samantha Garcia, Salvation Army, presented the Salvation Army’s “Doing the Most Good” Award to Berea Air Force Junior ROTC. Pictured are Mr. William Roach, Berea High School Principal, Cadet Colonel Giselle Heredia, Cadet Colonel Stephanie Chinchilla, and Cadet Captain Robbie Laboone. During the 2007 holiday season over 100 Berea AFJROTC cadets volunteered 300 plus man-hours in support of the Salvation Army Christmas Toy Shop. Ms. Garcia thanked the group for their efforts in assembling wagons, tricycles, bicycles, wrapping gifts, and packing age appropriate toys for over 2,000 needy Greenville families. Berea cadets have performed a total of 1100 plus cadet man-hours supporting this same Salvation Army Top program; receiving this same award in 2004, 2005, and 2006. |
