Our Title 1 Parent Involvement Coordinator
We would like to give a big Berea Welcome to Massiel Pineda who is our Title 1 Parent Involvement Coordinator! We are so happy to have her here with us! Ms. Pineda is bilingual and can translate in Spanish from 7:45a-2:45p. She will also be available during PTA meetings and most parent-teacher conferences.
Hello! My name is Massiel and this is my first year at Berea Elementary as the Title 1 Parent Involvement Coordinator. I am ecstatic to be here and can not wait to meet all of our parents and children. I believe that the involvement parents share in their children's education will shine in their children's success. As the Parent Involvement Coordinator I wish to accomplish unity between our parents and our school, so that we can become one community full of knowledge to encourage and motivate our children. I am a mother of two boys and I totally understand how difficult it is to juggle a family, job and extracurricular activities, but we are in in for the future of our children, so let's get this year started BIG!
A little about me:
I am a proud mother of two boys. My younger son is a 5th grader here at Berea. Go Bulldogs! He is following the steps of his mother who also went to Berea Elementary many, many years ago. I also have a 7th grader that is growing up too fast. The most spoiled member of our family is our boxer, Zeus. Currently, I am engaged and will be getting married soon. Our boys love sports so we spend a lot of time at the baseball fields and basketball courts. I am a student at Southern Wesleyan University, and will graduate soon with a degree in Human Services.
