Chief Norris of the Cherokee tribe came to Berea Elementary. He shared many facts of interest about the Cherokee tribe with the third grade class. He showed musical instruments, models of homes, beading work, headdress, types of articles worn in dances, and told very interesting stories about the Cherokee to the class. The class learned many new and interesting things. Everyone enjoyed the program very much. It went along with the study of Native Americans that the third graders have been studying in Social Studies.
