While the rest of the United States was eagerly awaiting the election of our next President, 5th grade students at Berea Elementary were busy preparing for the Great Cookie Debate 2008! Campaigns complete with buttons, posters, and speeches were created for 5 popular cookie-front runners: Oreo, Chips-Ahoy, Fudge-Stripe, Graham Crackers, and Nutter Butter. Students assembled to hear the qualifications, strengths, and weaknesses of each cookie candidate before casting their registered vote. Oreo was the winner!
