Mr. Warren is in
his second year as Principal. He returned to Beck Academy after two years away as the Assistant Principal
for Woodmont Middle School. Like Beck, Woodmont Middle is an
International Baccalaureate MYP school in Greenville County. He
previously worked at Beck as the Administrator for Special Needs for
three years, from 2005-2008.
Mr. Warren has been published in the
Palmetto Administrator and in Middle Ground, the National
Middle School Association’s quarterly magazine. He received his B.S. in
Music Education from Bob Jones University in 1998 and was a band
director for 7 years before moving into administration. He earned his
Master’s in Administration from Clemson University and his Educational
Specialist degree from the University of South Carolina where he is
almost finished with his PhD. Despite attending USC and Clemson, he is a
die-hard Florida Gator fan. This is due to his being born and raised in
Jacksonville, Fl. He currently resides in Simpsonville with his wife,
Jennifer and four children: Quin, Ethan, Sophie and Ella and attends
Southside Fellowship Church.
In his words, “It is an honor to
return to such a wonderful school and follow my mentor Dr. Bricker. I
was part of Beck at a key moment in its history when we moved from the
old location to the new, and I am excited to be leading as we begin the
next phase of the journey.”
Mr. Warren believes that the key to a
successful journey to the next level begins with continuing the
excellent partnership Beck has experienced with its community. The
support from parents and business partners, combined with the excellent
education students receive and the opportunities students are provided
to give back and serve their community make Beck Academy one of the best
middle schools in the country. |
