Information for Beck Academy Parents

Dear Parents and Students,

The administration and faculty welcomes our new students, parents, staff, and our returning Blue Knights, to a new school year.  We are excited about the opportunity we have to provide our students with a learning environment that allows them to become independent thinkers with a global perspective.

First period starts at home and a positive attitude makes the difference between success and failure. Therefore we as a school will make every effort to keep the parents informed of school and student progress.

Please be aware of the communication lines available from the administration, teachers and the PTSA:

• If you have email, be sure to sign up to receive our e-news letter by visiting the Beck Academy webpage at www.greenville.k12.sc.us/beck/ . Just enter your email address and you will begin receiving Beck’s E-News every other week. The e-news is sent out biweekly highlighting school events and classroom activities.

·         An interim progress report is sent home every two weeks starting in September.

·          Each teacher has an individual website. Web addresses are listed on the school’s website.

·         Beck will continue to implement the School Wide Optimal Organization Handbook (SWOOSH). Daily notes and assignments from teachers will be posted daily.
