Mrs. Toledano and her 6th grade botanists took advantage of the unseasonably warm temperatures and conducted a Plant Scavenger Hunt on the Beck Academy campus. Everyone was amazed at the "treasures" found, especially since the growing season is typically not during December. Specimens collected included monocot, vascular, non-vascular, cone-bearing and since its the season....conifers! Beck botanists are now anxiously awaiting springtime to see if all of those winter pine cones are distributed and eventually aid in the growing of tiny pine saplings.
