"Ready, Set, READ!"
“Ready, Set, READ!” is Beck Academy's 2008-09 school-wide reading program.
It’s fun and easy to participate:
• Step 1 – Read a book of your choice for at least 30 minutes
each school day (2 ½ hours each week)
(if you miss a day, it's ok to read more on another day - just get all of
your hours in for the 9 week period)
• Step 2 – Track the time you spend reading on a reading
log
(you can pick-up an extra one in the library)
• Step 3 – Turn in your logs to your ELA teacher each 9 weeks by the due date (see below)
• Step 4 – If you read the required amount of time each 9 weeks and turned in your logs on time, you will be eligible to HAVE FUN during our “Ready, Set, READ” celebrations.
Reading Celebrations will be held during school each 9 weeks and will include:
• FUN!
• Activities
• Door prizes
Need another log? Have questions? Just ask the Library Media Specialist!
• Visit the Library Media Center (with a pass in your planner!) from 7:30 – 3:30, Monday – Friday
