What will I need

- Provide a cover letter telling us why you would like to work at A.J. Whittenberg Elementary School.
- Submit a teaching video that displays creativity and a connection with students.

- Outstanding references. Recent graduate must include references from College Student Teacher Supervisor and supervising Classroom Teacher. Experienced teachers must include references from most recent Principal and Grade Level Team Leader or Instructional Coach. Feel free to include additional references from persons who have observed you teach.
- Masters Degree and/or National Board Certification preferred.
- At least 3 years experience preferred.
- Good health - Teacher attendance expectation - 97%

- We appreciate teachers who make an extra effort to give us an opportunity to get to know them. Unfortunately, we are unable to respond to each person who sends us an email, fax, or letter concerning employment opportunities. It is just humanly impossible. We hope this site will assist you.
- The principal or her designee will screen candidates by contacting references prior to scheduling an interview with the principal (Interview 1). Pre-selected applicants will be offered an opportunity to interview with the appropriate grade level team(s). Parents may be included on the interview team (Interview 2). The teachers/parent team will make a recommendation to the principal. The principal will approve the final selection, and contact the teacher with an offer for employment.
