NOTE: Classroom assignments are considered tentative until the 10th day of enrollment.
Back-to-school Transportation:
Parents! Important Reminder…Please COMPLETE & RETURN the transportation form in your student’s First Day Packet. The office must have this form immediately to process carpool numbers and identify your child’s transportation needs. All car riders are issued a carpool number after the first week of school. Encourage your child to memorize his/her carpool number as quickly as possible.
For arrival and dismissal:
Arrival Time – 7:15 am (Breakfast served – 7:30)
Classes begin – 8:00 am (If you arrive after 8:00, you must walk your child to the office.)
Dismissal Time – 2:30 pm
Car Riders – Drivers enter the carpool line on Winyah from either W. Faris or from Tomassee and proceed in front of the school to Waccamaw. Student patrols will open doors for car riders to enter and exit cars. At dismissal, car riders wait in the auditorium until their number is called. For the safety of our students, please do not enter the afternoon carpool line from the playground side of Tomassee. We also remind you not to cut through the parking lot to get in the carpool line.
Bus Riders – Buses will operate on a regular schedule on the first day of school. Times for pick-up and delivery remain the same. If you are a first-time rider or have questions about buses or scheduling in your neighborhood, please call Greg Peppers @ 299-8380 (District Transportation).
Walkers - Students who live to the front of the school may be dismissed as front walkers (through main doors) and must cross the street with the adult crossing guard at the corner of Winyah & Tomassee. Students who live to the rear of the school may be dismissed as back walkers (through the back door) and walk down Waccamaw with a teacher on duty. For our students’ safety, parents are asked to park on the school side of Waccamaw where there is a sidewalk.
