I grew up in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, where I played sports and loved the outdoors. I attended Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C. After graduation, I returned to Rutherfordton and taught sixth grade at New Hope Middle School. During my years at New Hope, I attended Gardner-Webb University and earned my Masters Degree and principal/supervision certification. After ten years of teaching and coaching, I became Assistant Principal at Rutherfordton Elementary. I spent ten years as Assistant Principal at Rutherfordton and Spindale Elementary Schools. I'm excited to be at Augusta Circle Elementary and to be a part of such a great school. I am looking forward to a great school year.

    I am married and have two children and two grandchildren. I enjoy playing golf, fishing, hunting, and spending time with my family.
