Mark your calendars for our next PTA meeting Monday, March 7 at 6:30PM.  Rick Floyd, Internet Security Administrator for Greenville County Schools, will speak about internet safety, cyberbullying and dangers children face online.  This is a change to the date previously set on the PTA Calendar.

5th Grade Projects - Hooverville

Students recreated the shantytowns that sprung up all over the United States during the great depression when unemployed people were evicted from their homes. Check out some of these projects here.

Congratulations Ms. Deneen!
The school district recently featured Leslie Deneen and all of the great things going on in her classroom. Read here for more information on our wonderful Kindergarten teacher.

Book Fair is Coming!

Give kids the books they want to read. Our book fair offers engaging and affordable books for every reading level. Make plans to visit the library Monday, February 22 through Friday, February 26 from 7:30AM until 3:00PM, or order books online, and be involved in shaping your child's reading habits. Remember, all purchases benefit the Augusta Circle Library. The book fair will close at 2:00PM on Friday. See you there!

Check out a Scholastic book fair flyer here.

Spring Testing Dates

ELA and Math tests for 3rd – 5th graders will be April 26 – 28.
PASS science and social studies tests for 4th and 5th graders will be May 11 and 12.

Recycling Week
Start saving your hard-to-recycle items like batteries, printer cartridges, clam shell containers, electronics and crayons! New this year: towels, newspapers, leashes, pet carriers and grocery bags will be collected for the Humane Society. The Pop Art Contest will be held again this year, so think about some creative ways to incorporate recycled items into works of art. Check the PTA website for more information!

Walk and Wheel Wednesdays

Every Wednesday is ACE Walk & Wheel Day!  We encourage students to grab their coats and tennis shoes each Wednesday to walk or ride their bikes to school!

Safety Tip: ACE encourages everyone to utilize clearly marked cross walks when walking or wheeling to school.  There is one crosswalk on West Faris Road.  It is located at the traffic light at the intersection of West Faris and Augusta Street.  Thank you for putting safety first when arriving and departing ACE.
