Greenville County Schools Sports Programs
Welcome to Greenville County Schools' sports programs. It is the mission of our after-school sports programs to provide positive, lifelong educational experiences for our students. The Greenville County high school sports programs are considered among the best in South Carolina. Numerous state championship teams are produced annually in our schools. Our programs are highly regarded throughout the state and our goal is to further this tradition and to continue to improve in all areas.
The sports and activity programs in Greenville County are supported at an approximate cost of only one percent of the overall school district’s budget. Indeed, high school activity programs are one of the best bargains around. It is in these vital programs—sports, music, speech, drama, debate—where young people learn important lifelong lessons.
These extracurricular activities have three areas of benefits for young people:
