The Science Department will be available to sell the required safety equipment of goggles and an apron for $3.00 during the Orientation for students in grade 9. This same safety equipment will be used by the students for all four years. The Physical Education Department will also sell the uniforms required for P E class for $10.00.

Parking decals will be sold to students in grades 11 & 12 ONLY. Students must complete the Alive at 25 training before they purchase a parking decal at Orientation. On August 14, they must bring a valid driver’s license; a valid registration for the car; an insurance card; the make, model, and tag number of their car; and $40.00 to purchase a parking decal.

Special Education: Self-Contained Special Education students will have their parent orientation on Friday, August 14, at 10:00-11:30 am in the classrooms with their teachers. Pictures for the yearbook will be taken during the Orientation. All other special education students will have their orientation with their designated grade.

ALL students will have their picture made in the cafeteria for their ID badge. Pictures for the yearbook, also, will be taken for students in grades 9, 10, & 11 at the Orientation time. Students must adhere to the proper attire as stated in the Dress Code for Greenville County Schools. All students in grades 9, 10, & 11 must report to the cafeteria for their school picture as soon as they enter the building. They will receive a ticket after they have their picture made. They must present their ticket at the entrance to the gym to pick up their information packets, their schedules, lockers, and textbooks. The Class of 2016 will sell agendas to record class assignments for $8.00 to all students, and the booster clubs will sell Spirit wear.

All students are REQUIRED to have a Woodmont High School ID for 2015-2016. Students new to Greenville County Schools should come to the WHS Media Center to have ID pictures taken. IDs will be distributed at orientation. Students will be issued one free ID per school year. Replacement IDs will be issued at a cost of $5 each. (All current rising Freshmen who attended Greenville County Schools last year do not need to have a new ID picture taken. These students will automatically receive a new ID at orientation.)

Orientation for sophomore, junior and senior students - Students are REQUIRED to attend orientation to receive their IDs, schedules, yearbook pictures, and other important items, and must attend during a specific window of time for THEIR GRADE LEVEL ONLY. Students who miss their orientation time must get their schedules, IDs and materials on the first day of school, and will be required to make up any work missed in their classes. Parents are encouraged to attend orientation but are not required. 2015-16 IDs will be issued at orientation. A student MAY NOT continue with orientation without a valid ID. Yearbook pictures will be taken for all students (except seniors) – student attire must follow the district dress code guidelines.

Freshman Academy 2015-2016 - Wildcat Training Day & Orientation
Woodmont High School is happy to announce our first Wildcat Training Day to welcome all incoming freshmen and their parents to a fun-filled morning of useful information and activities. The purpose of Wildcat Training Day is to help make the transition from middle school to high school a little bit easier. Students will receive their IDs and schedules, pay class dues and will also have opportunities to meet their teachers, tour the school and get important information about activities, sports and even learn cheers for pep rallies! Parents will meet teachers, tour the school, and also learn about WHS policies, procedures and our expectations for the school year. A special guest speaker will be here to talk with the students, and many upperclassmen will be in attendance to answer questions, discuss clubs, athletics and the daily routines.
