There will be school on Monday, April 6. It is one of three makeup days built into the GCS calendar. A recommendation will be made to the Board of Trustees that the fourth day missed be excused if legislation passes allowing that option. At this time no "forgiveness" legislation has passed the General Assembly or been signed by the Governor.

Greenville County public school students will make up their second missed school day on Monday, April 6 and will make up the third day on Friday, June 5.

Students attending Greenville County Schools have missed four days this school year due to inclement weather.

The school district’s plan for missed days beyond the three scheduled makeup days will be announced later. The administration will consider the impact of and date options in its recommendation to the Board of Trustees. In previous years, the Legislature provided authority to local school boards to forgive missed days beyond the three scheduled makeup days.

State law requires school districts to include three makeup days in their calendar and specifies that additional missed days must be made up by scheduling attendance days including Saturdays and/or extending school days.
