Greenville County public school students will make up their first missed school day on Monday, March 9 and will make up two more days on Monday, April 6 and Friday, June 5.

State law requires school districts to include three makeup days in their calendar and specifies that additional missed days must be made up by scheduling attendance days including Saturdays and/or extending school days.

Students attending Greenville County Schools have missed four days this school year due to inclement weather.

The school district’s plan for missed days beyond the three scheduled makeup days will be announced later. The administration will consider the impact of and date options in its recommendation to the Board of Trustees. In previous years, the Legislature provided authority to local school boards to forgive missed days beyond the three scheduled makeup days.
